PROGRAMME COORDINATOR POSITION WITH CTL IRELAND CENTRE FOR TRAVEL AND
LEARNING
CTL Ireland wishes to recruit a Programme Coordinator to work with the
operations of our travel and learning programmes in Ireland.
CTL Ireland offers customised educational and immersion programmes in
Ireland for groups and individuals

THE POSITION
The Programme Coordinator?will be responsible for the organisation
and administration?of CTL programmes.
PROGRAMMES
* COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS?
* VOLUNTEER IN IRELAND
* SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IRELAND
SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL GROUP PROGRAMMES
* Booking and re-confirmations of all elements of group programmes,
accommodation, visits, meetings, transport and meals.
* Liaising with accommodation providers (hotels, hostels and
campuses). Updating rooming lists and group details
* Liaising with partners overseas on all aspects of programme
administration
* Preparing leaders information packs
* Preparing participant welcome packs
* Maintaining records of expenses associated with each group
programme and organising payments as appropriate
* Answering group leader queries and assisting group leaders with
the smooth running of the programmes
* Occasional Arrival meet and greets at Dublin airport
* Occasional travel to meet with groups throughout Ireland

* Proactively solve operational problems following guidance of CTL
directors
VOLUNTEER IN IRELAND
* Providing support to international volunteers coming to Ireland
* Liaising with partners overseas on all aspects of programme
administration
* Liaising with local partners on all aspects of programme
administration
* Occasional travel to meet with participants and local partners

* Proactively solve operational problems following guidance of CTL

SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IRELAND
* Providing support to secondary school students coming to Ireland
* Liaising with partners overseas on all aspects of programme
administration
* Liaising with local partners on all aspects of programme
administration
* Occasional travel to meet with participants and local partners

* Proactively solve operational problems following guidance of CTL
directors
THE PERSON
The ideal applicant will be people oriented and highly organised with
an ability to get things done. They will take ownership and pride in
their work and be proactive and innovative in updating systems and
procedures.
CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE WILL BE
PRIORITISED
* Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
* Minimum 4 year?s work experience in administration/coordination
* Experience working as part of a team
* Problem solver
* Proven initiative / Ability to manage own workload and set
priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail
* Highly organised with excellent time management and planning
skills and an ability to get things done on schedule
* Highly flexible with an ability to multi-task
* Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
* Excellent IT, record keeping and administration skills
* Full drivers license preferable
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE
* Knowledge of Ireland and Irish culture
* Knowledge of intercultural exchange programmes
* Knowledge of volunteering
GENERAL INFORMATION
START DATE: As soon as possible
LOCATION: This is primarily a work from home position with regular
meetings at the CTL office in Cork city
DURATION: One year contract including a 6 month probation period
WORKING HOURS: This is a part time position. The successful candidate
